The Space Walk brings the history of spaceflight to the streets of Antwerp. Created as part of Flanders Technology & Innovation (FTI) — the innovation initiative also connected to SuperNova — the exhibition takes visitors along a walking route through the city. Ten glass containers each hold an icon of space exploration, from Sputnik to the lunar rover.
Commissioned by Reach For More, Birrd created the campaign and exhibition branding around the existing logo, with just two weeks to bring everything together. The challenge was to make ten scattered stops feel like one exhibition: attract attention from across the street, reward people up close, and prepare every asset for production in a very short timeframe.
Most of the work centred around the container wraps: extensive large-format layouts built around key visuals of an astronaut. Alongside them, we designed an interactive, mobile-first website and a printed route map. The wider rollout included social media content, flags and signage, magazine ads and press visuals. Behind the scenes, that meant close collaboration with Reach For More, supplier coordination, internal presentations and on-site follow-up as each container was installed.
